AMA Superbike: Hodgson released from hospital

Neil Hodgson Neil Hodgson has been released from hospital a week after sustaining injuries in a motorcross accident.

The British rider was forced to miss the latest round of the AMA Superbike Championship in Fontana when he suffered a collapsed lung, injured ribs and a dislocated shoulder in the incident, caused when he fell hard and had the machine land on him.

Nonetheless, after a week spent under observation, Hodgson has been released from hospital, whereby he is looking to get back to action as soon as possible.

“As you can imagine I am doing everything in my power to get healthy as quickly as possible, so hopefully I’ll be back racing sooner rather than later,” he said.

The next round of the championship in Atlanta is two weeks away.
